My name is Dez, i’m 17, and a senior in high school. First off, i give you props choosing to go through the whole pregnancy and considering adoption after. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be 16 and pregnant especially having people staring you down in the halls and having rumors spread about you. But you took things very maturely , you pushed all the bs aside to plan out a better future for yourself and as well as the baby.
However i believe you could have been more smart about it. Teens nowadays get pregnant just looking at eachother; or in your case out of boredom. You could have used a condom or got birth control from Planned Parenthood for free.
Even if i am a year older than you and have my whole life ahead of me and found out i was pregnant, i do not think i could live with the guilt of having an abortion. i would consider adoption or even consider on keeping it. I could care less what others say about me and/or about my decision, just like you did; i would plan out a better future for myself as well as my baby.
So in the end Juno, I respect the decision you made, and am proud of the fact that you took responsibility for your actions.
